50 States ... 50 laboratories

We have many problems that need to be solved in our country...and we have some wonderful options to find the best solutions.

So my question is this...why don't we give the 50 States the charge to experiment and find solutions to our countries problems (violence, broken families, poverty, economic growth, failing education, health care costs)? Why not let the 50 states come up with their best solutions and try them out in the laboratories of their own State?
